Bello Family Vineyards 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from 3 different Vineyards. The first is Avina in Rutherford on Bale Clay Loam on the Rutherford Bench farmed by Gustavo Avina. Second is Star Vineyard also in Rutherford on Gravel Loam Bench Soils farmed by David Abreu and lastly Scully Vineyard from Mt. Veeder Blocks 3 and 4 farmed by David Abreu. The wine was aged for 20 months in 50% new and 50% one year old French Oak barrels from artisan coopers from Bordeaux’s right bank.

Tasting Notes:

Intense red fruit nose with cherry, raspberry and red currant that mingles with chocolate, coffee, vanilla and clove notes. The attack is rich with a burst of fruit and cedar, medium weight mid-palate with soft tannins in a lingering finish of licorice, almond and black cherry.
