Bello Family Vineyards - 2016 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

2016 RUTHERFORD
CABERNET SAUVIGNON

The Vintage:

The near-perfect 2016 growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and wrapped up as the valley's first significant fall rainstorm arrived on October 14. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness. Wines from the 2016 vintage are now quietly developing in our cellar as we are pinching ourselves and smiling for the gift it appears Mother Nature has given us: a fifth consecutive vintage of stellar quality Napa Valley wines.

 The Vineyard:

This single vineyard offering showcases our estate vineyard located on the Rutherford Bench with its lush, rich, full fruit flavors.

Tasting Notes:

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep purple-black in color and features very youthful, primary blackcurrants, crushed blueberries and fresh black cherries scents with suggestions of cedar chest, roses and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate exhibits fantastic harmony, with the intense black fruit layers well supported by super ripe tannins, finishing very long and complex. The wine is accessible, but should age effortlessly for 15 or more years.
