Tasting Notes:
The 2009 Bello Family Vineyards Marsanne has a nose of melon, honeysuckle and orange blossom, wet stone, with apricot and pear. The attack is intensely fruity and mid palate is rich with a core of intense fruit, balanced acidity and surprising minerality. The finish is long with lingering melon and apricot.
Awards:
The St. Helena Star awarded the Bello Family Vineyards 2009 Marssane 1st place in its category for top new white wines.
Winemaker Notes:
A dream to work with this beautiful Southern Rone variety in a Napa Valley context. The vineyards altitude of about 1500 feet shows in a dazzling array of fruit and floral charachters in the nose.
