"Bello Family Vineyards 2008 Cabernet is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from 3 different Vineyards. The first is Avina in Rutherford on Bale Clay Loam on the Rutherford Bench farmed by Gustavo Avina. Second is Star Vineyard also in Rutherford on Gravel Loam Bench Soils farmed by David Abreu and lastly Scully Vineyard from Mt. Veeder Blocks 3 and 4 farmed by David Abreu. The wine was aged for 20 months in 100% new French Oak barrels from artisan coopers from Bordeaux’s right bank." 92 Points - The Wine Advocate.

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive wine laced with ripe red fruit, flowers, sweet herbs and licorice. It shows lovely balance and plushness through to the harmonious finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018. Aaron Pott is the winemaker.

Tasting Notes:
Black currant, cherry and violets in a bright nose mingling red and black fruits, vanilla, cedar and spice, big attack of cherry and violet. Soft velvety mid palate with cherry, violet, currant and black licorice lingers in a long and supple finish.
