Drink 2013 - 2024
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve bursts onto the palate with expressive dark fruit, leather, licorice, spices and mint. It opens up in the glass with marvelous inner perfume, striking purity in its fruit and fabulous overall balance. Today the tannins are quite firm, but give this a few years to come around and it should drink beautifully. Black cherries, minerals mint and violets linger on the muscular finish. The 2009 Reserve is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2024. The Bello Family own vineyards in Rutherford, and complement their holdings with fruit they purchase from other sites for their entry-level Megahertz and Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings. The Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is made exclusively from estate fruit. Aaron Pott is the winemaker.

Tasting Notes:
Plum, currants, tobacco and dark chocolate, huge attack with gobs of well
rounded tannin. Fantastic density with cherry, chocolate and tobacco in
perfect harmony. Finishes with incredible length with dark chocolate,
cherry and tobacco that persists for a very long time.
