Bello Family Vineyards - 2015 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

2015 RUTHERFORD
CABERNET SAUVIGNON

The Vintage:

The 2015 growing season in Napa Valley started out with unseasonably warm temperatures in the late winter and early spring. This resulted in an early bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures in May resulted in much smaller crop. As a result, we worked hand-in-hand with our vineyard crew to ensure we picked and crushed only the best quality grapes. The harvest was one of the earliest on record in Napa Valley, beginning on July 22 with the picking of grapes for sparkling wine, and concluding for most all vintners and growers in the valley by mid-October. These growing conditions resulted in high quality grapes but low yields.

The Vineyard:

This single vineyard offering showcases our estate vineyard located on the Rutherford Bench with its lush, rich, full fruit flavors.

Tasting Notes:

Deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a nose of cedar, cassis, black berries and black cherries with hints of chocolate box, dried herbs and roses. Full-bodied, rich and voluptuous in the mouth, with firm yet velvety tannins and plenty of freshness, it finishes long and spicy.
